Holed up in their arcane library, a wizard has little time to tend to any visitors. Instead, they create golems from the very books within their intellectual hoard.
While hulking over most humanoids, a Library Golem is disturbingly quiet and agile. It’s a vessel of the library itself in many ways, able to reappear within it, but unable to leave it.
On initiative 20 (losing ties), the golem can take one lair action to cause one of the following. It can’t use the same effect in consecutive rounds.
Reanimate: The golem crumbles into a pile of books, reforming up to 500 ft. away within its library. It does not provoke opportunity attacks this way.
Mass Silence: The space within 120 ft. of the golem functions as a though it is within the silence spell. This effect lasts 1 minute, or until the golem is hit next.
